Motorcycle mats are not very common and can be harder to find. As a result, we decided to review and list the top motorcycle mat options that are available. We include what materials are used, how well they will perform, and where to purchase them for the best price.
Also known as motorcycle parking pads, this type of garage floor mat will enhance and protect your current garage floor or storage area for your bike. They provide a nice space to place tools, parts, and cleaning supplies when working on your street bike, dirt bike, or ATV.
We have ranked the motorcycle mats below based on the cheapest price, the best value, and the highest quality.

Cheapest Motorcycle Mat
If you just want an inexpensive mat to park or store your motorcycle, then the ArmorAll Garage Floor Mat by DryMate is the one you need. It will protect your floor from oil drips, dirt, and water.
The mat is constructed of absorbent and stain resistant nylon material that is attached to a thin waterproof backing. The smallest size is 8’.4”x7”.4”. However, the size can be trimmed down to smaller sizes using a pair of sharp scissors or a utility knife.
Though the mat is thin, it’s tougher than you think. These are the same mats that are used for parking vehicles and do a good job of protecting the floor. The mat will actually absorb quite a bit of liquid.
If it gets muddy, just let it dry out and then run the shop vac over it. For heavier cleaning, you can scrub the mat with a solution of Dawn dish soap and warm water.
One facet of the ArmorAll mat that requires attention is the use of kickstands. If you have a heavy street bike that uses a side stand or center stand, then we highly recommend using a parking puck.
The bottom feet of the stand/s can get sharp and rough. If you don’t use a puck, then there is a good chance that you will rip the mat or wear a hole right through it. We discuss parking pucks here below.
One other consideration is that these mats are fairly light in weight and can get moved around easily or bunch up if you turn the front wheel back and forth a lot to position the motorcycle. We suggest using the double-sided sticky tape provided with the mat to help prevent this.
Best Value Motorcycle Mat
One of the best values for a budget motorcycle mat is the Rough Tex Diamond Deck Motorcycle Mat by Auto Care Products. Made of durable polyvinyl, it has a diamond pattern that provides good traction and is very durable.
With an overall thickness of 2.9mm, it is the thickest motorcycle mat available. 2.9 mm is equivalent to 114 mils if you are doing a comparison. That’s almost as thick as two pennies stacked together.
In addition, this mat provides good chemical resistance from various fluids. It is highly resistant to gas, oil, brake fluid, and anti-freeze. Battery acid will not damage the mat, but it may discolor it if left to sit for long.
Available in Black, Charcoal, and Pewter, the standard size of the motorcycle mat is 5’ x 7.5’. However, there are options for other sizes that will fit ATVs or golf carts.
We do want to point out that the Rough Tex mat is made overseas. This is why the price of this budget mat is so appealing.
We normally do not recommend such mats. However, unlike other competing mats from overseas, this mat does not use any fillers. In addition, it has a 7-year limited warranty.
Best Quality Motorcycle Floor Mats
Without a doubt, the best quality motorcycle floor mats are those by G-Floor. All mats are constructed of extremely durable 100% polyvinyl and manufactured in the U.S.A. G-Floor has set the standards for polyvinyl excellence and mat construction. It is the company that other mat manufacturers try to measure up to.
G-Floor mats are the best at resisting mold or mildew that can collect on the bottom of other competitors’ mats. In addition, they are very easy to keep clean. A mild soap and water solution are all that is needed for heavy cleanup.
Any of their mats would work extremely well. However, their primary option is the G-Floor Motorcycle Mat. It’s a ribbed polyvinyl mat that is 55 mils thick. This is the equivalent of 1.4 mm.
Sizes available are 3’ x 8’ and 5’ x 10’, with black being the only color choice. The ribbed design is known for providing good traction and does an excellent job of retaining liquids. However, the ribbed design is not the most comfortable mat for the knees if you like to kneel on the floor while servicing your motorcycle.
The Motorcycle Mat is the thinnest in their lineup. As a result, it is the least expensive G-Floor mat and has proven to be a good value.
If you want a thicker G-Floor mat for your motorcycle parking area, then you could choose one of G-Floor’s standard mats in Small Coin, Diamond, or Large Coin.
The Diamond mat is the thickest available at 120 mils. The Large Coin G-Floor mat is 110 mils thick, and the Small Coin is 95 mils.
Keep in mind that the smallest size you can purchase is 5’ x 10’. However, it’s not difficult to trim the size down if you need the mat to be smaller.
Motorcycle Mats for Dirt Bikes and Sport Bikes
If you have a dirt bike or sport bike and would like a versatile mat that will work well in your garage as well as at the track, then the new LaunchMat lineup is an option you may want to consider.
These are good-looking mats that are available in 5 different color schemes. Each mat is 3’ x 8’ in size and can easily be rolled up to transport to the track to be used as a pit mat.
They are constructed using a thick, non-slip PVC backing and a nylon fabric top. One of the benefits is that these mats are easier on the knees when using them on hard ground.
LaunchMats do a good job of containing fluids and will not let them pass to the ground below. In addition, the nylon fibers are resistant to oil and a variety of solvents.
Cleanup for general dirt can be done with a vacuum. For heavier cleaning of oils and other debris, you can use a pressure washer or carpet cleaner solution with warm water (not hot).
This mat does have some weight to it, so there are no worries about it blowing around if it’s windy at the track.
Interlocking Tile Motorcycle Garage Flooring Mats
If you want a great-looking custom motorcycle mat, then it’s hard to beat an interlocking tile parking pad.
Made of rigid polypropylene plastic, interlocking floor tiles are known for their good looks, durability, excellent stain resistance, chemical resistance, and easy cleanup. This type of flooring is actually hard to stain.
The tiles easily snap together via a peg and loop system. It shouldn’t take you any more than ten minutes to assemble these parking pads.
There are two brands of interlocking motorcycle parking pads that we recommend. The first is SwissTrax and the other is Speedway.
With SwissTrax motorcycle parking pads, you can choose either their patented solid top Diamond tile design or self-draining RibTrax Pro tile design.
One of the benefits of the SwissTrax RibTrax Pro is that it can be used outdoors and will not be affected by sunlight. This is great if you park your motorcycle outside. It also works well for washing street bikes and dirt bikes. All the water, mud, and debris fall through the tile to the ground below.
Speedway uses their own patented Diamond tile design. We feel that the Speedway tiles are the best overall value. They cost less, look great, and perform very well.
PRICE SWISSTRAX AND SPEEDWAY MATS
Though interlocking tiles technically are not mats, they have become very popular as parking pads for both motorcycles as well as cars and trucks.
Motorcycle Kickstand Parking Pucks and Pads
Lastly, we would be remiss if we didn’t mention considering a motorcycle kickstand parking puck.
The kickstand on heavy motorcycles can cause wear and abuse to even the toughest motorcycle mats and parking pads over time. These handy kickstand pads can protect your flooring as well as come in handy when parking your motorcycle on soft surfaces such as hot asphalt and dirt.
The pucks are inexpensive and there are just too many to list that we like. However, we compiled a page from Amazon that lists all of the highest-rated kickstand pads.
Our suggestion is to purchase two. One that can stay with the motorcycle when you are out and about and one that can remain with your designated motorcycle parking area at home.
Final thoughts
As we had stated previously, motorcycle mats and parking pads aren’t as common and can be harder to find. Barring any special mats for one particular brand of motorcycle, Harley Davidson or Indian for example, the mats we listed above are some of the best we can recommend.
When choosing a polyvinyl mat, one consideration would be the color. Polyvinyl mats tend to stain from polymers that leach out of tires. This is more prevalent with cars and trucks since the tires are much bigger, but it can happen with motorcycle tires to some degree as well.
If you want to avoid possible tire staining from standing out, we suggest that you choose darker colors. Black is the best as it makes any tire stain marks very hard to see. Interlocking tiles, nylon fiber mats, and rubber mats generally are not susceptible to this.

Would you recommend any of these flooring options to be used in a cargo trailer that I would like to use to transport large motorcycles and snow sleds that have sharp ski carbides. I am concerned with the flexing of the floor and damage from the carbides. If so what would be your preference or suggestions that may work the best.
Thank you.

Hello Olwen. What we would recommend for your use in a cargo trailer would be PVC trailer flooring. Garage Flooring LLC specializes in such flooring. You can view it here. Give them a call and ask for Justin if you have questions.
