In reply to frank. Hello Frank. There is not a big difference between tiling a garage floor vs tiling indoors. However, an important question to ask is how they plan to address contraction joints. Generally, it's a good idea to either honor the joint or place an isolation membrane over the joint before laying the tile. We also recommend using an epoxy or epoxy hybrid grout. It does not need to be sealed and it is highly stained resistant.

Thanks for the information. I am looking to have my floor tiled in the next 90 days with the heating element underneath. However, I don’t know how to determine if a company that tiles interior floors is also good at tiling garage floors. Any ideas on the types of questions I should be asking? The only response I get is “yes, no problem. We will sand and clean floors and have you taken care of in a few days.” No one actually explains the process.

Could you please let me know if the plastic interlocking base would fit a porcelain tile purchased elsewhere, 31x 31cm.
